• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2014 RH Grill on 2013 RTS

These are the aluminum ones you can buy

Where are those from?

Never mind, those are the flat metal ones from Custom Dynamics. Not what I was looking for. May need to order the 2014 one and give it a try.

Dave,
Could you lay some heat barrier under your Seals, and re-direct the air from that little corner that's still exposed? :dontknow:

I gotta plan and involves slots across the bottom that are the same angle as the Seal foot rests first one will be just out of site  You won't see them unless you look REAL hard.

I modded mine to allow bottom flow and it works well with my Seal Dlx floorboards to eliminate the heat blow back. So far no overheat issues but not in the 90s yet.

I put one on each of our bikes. Very easy. All you really need to do is trim about 1/4 inch or so off of the left and the 2 big tabs at the bottom. I trimmed all 4 tabs off the bottom on mine, but left the 2 smaller ones on hers. leaving the 2 smaller tabs helps it lock in at the bottom which helps keep it stable. I left the right side tab on both as it is for the plastic rivets. I had a couple left over from doing the bumpskid so I drilled the holes and put the plastic rivets on also. The pic is from mine. You can see the 4 tabs on the bottom... only the 2 big ones really need to come off depending on how stable you want it. I didn't have a pic with the plastic rivet in it as I added that later.

I cut the bottom solid section off. A lot of hot air escapes out of that hole even with bottom panels off and part of the swoop cut away. I feel that with the bottom hole blocked off it would heat up the engine compartment and tupperware a lot more:lecturef_smilie:. The panel looks and fits just like the left side. Best 20 bucks you could spend.

Today was 78F and almost no wind. I ran my bike for a good 150 miles and then brought it inside a friends back apartment fence so that it got no fresh air. Let it stand and idle for 20 minutes and it never even got above 5/8 on my temp guage. Warm air was blown out just fine by the fan and she still ran like a dream when I pulled her out and took her on another 25 mile ride in city traffic. So far it looks like it won't make any major change in temps. But it sure does make the bike look much more complete.
