• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2014 Owners Event

Wow, what a trip 5,592 miles and 15 states later we made it home safe and sound back in PA. I think it was the best vacation I ever had, it was way better than doing it in a cage. I am ready to do it all over again.

Glad to hear that you had a safe and enjoyable trip, I also attended the Owners Event but it only took me on a 2500 mile journey, but it was fun.

How many days did it take you?...Did you run into any high crosswinds through Oklahoma,Kansas,New Mexico?..We did a couple years ago..They blew a Goldwing pulling a trailer in the ditch..I didn't know if these winds were normal or just there because we were..

Glad you had a grand trip and are home safe. We arrived home Saturday night, but we only put on 4114 miles.
I agree we are ready to do it again!

We took a total of two weeks for our trip, ran into some wind in New Mexico but nothing that would blow you off the road.

Congrats on your trip.:yes::yes:I would love to have the time and resources to complete a trip like that. I will have to add it to the bucket list. :):):)

Owners Event was a great experience. About 600 Spyders attended. Met a lot of nice folks. Many thanks to BRP for a very well organized Event. Camille and I put on 2200+ miles. She drove part of the trip :yikes: and is now thinking of getting her own Spyder. She has many miles on two wheelers and the Spyder was a natural for her.

Got a CAT bypass from Pitbull and Bumpskid for Spyder and Trailer plus "Roostertail" preventer from Spyderpops while there.

Jack,

Does the Roostertail" preventer from Spyderpops work? I ended up traviling about 10-15 miles in fresh tar and even though I had added a mud flap my trailer was covered in tar splatter.

It works better than a mudflap. Although tar seems to get in places that are sealed :hun:
