• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just had my 3000 mile maintenance. I was wondering how many of you will go the full 9300 miles before the next oil change. Seems like a lot of miles.

I will already by getting the maintenance at 12300 next month, at 9000 it hasn't used a drop of oil and the oil is still very clear, just showing a little light wear color.. I have no concern about going the full distance.. BRP is so conservative if they say you can go that far its likely you could go much further

If I remember correcly it says 9k miles or once a year with ever is first, still great but you are not supposed to drive it for more then a year without service.

As I see it..!!

If you follow the manual you can't go wrong. If you do they pay...:roflblack: But use your own judgement...an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure...:lecturef_smilie:

Doc, are you going to Spyderfest? If so, how about I bring you a sample kit, fee already paid, so that you can collect a sample of oil when its changed and then mail it to the Lab for analysis. You can benefit by finding out how your motor is faring, as well as finding out how well the oil held up.

In the 998's I found that, depending on brand of oil, the viscosity sheared down to upper 20W/low 30W in as little as 2-3K miles. Really curious how our 1330's will fare but with only 2500 on mine its going to be quite awhile before I get enough miles to have a test done. If interested, PM me where you will be staying and I'll bring a kit.

Sorry after going multiple times and almost getting pneumonia on last years trip, I have decided to take a pass on Spyderfest this year,. Otherwise I would be happy with your offer.
