• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2014 Limited trailer hitch

I just got the newest trailer hitch installed and it came with the square 4 pin plug. Other than spending $150 bucks from BRP for their adapter, I'm thinking of replacing the square 4 plug with a standard flat 4 pin. For $500 bucks for the hitch, you'd think they offer some standard adapters:banghead:

Anyone see an issues with just cutting that end off and putting on a 4 pin flat?

I could buy the one from BRP, but I hate to spend that kind of money for a connector.....

As I see it..!!

as long as all the matching wires get connected to each other should work. Does seem they would standardize the hookups. But at those prices someone is making a bundle...:banghead:

dont cut that plug

for about 15bucks you can make a 4square to 4flat adapter

I purchased a Hopkins 47975 4PL square 24" set and a Hoplins 48025 flat 4 wire connector to fit my trailer and spliced them together and made my own...Total cost $12.00

No , there will be no issue cutting the BRP plugs off and using a flat four connector. I know someone that had his dealer cut off the square connector and used a flat four .
For the bike part he used a Reese four way flat universal mounting bracket part# 78096 . His set up looks awesome. I will be doing the same to my 2015 RT.

here is the link http://www.reeseprod.com/content/products.aspx?lvl=3&parentid=1500&catID=1585&part=118149 the mounting bracket is zipped tied to the side of the trailer hitch

[Online you can find themQUOTE=ChicoFowler;828367]The problem I'm having is finding a 4square mate. I see another response about a Hopkins product.
I'll have to check that.
Thanks[/QUOTE]
