• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2014 LIMITED ON THE WAY

I was thinking of starting a new thread but the subject matter fits here.

Has anyone else taken delivery of their new 2014 RT besides Spyder Doc and Spyderdmb?

Southern States and Southwestern States

I'm thinking other dealerships should either already have or be getting the 2014 RTs very soon. A dealer in Surprise Arizona (a suburb of Phoenix) had pictures of a new one in the Cognac color sitting in his showroom the other day. I'm not sure where other members are located who put posts on this forum. It seems the ones from Florida are doing all posting so far regarding the 2014s.

What I'm about to relate is from past observations. Usually, and there are exceptions which I will present later, the dealer will get THEIR new spyders first. That makes sense in that they usually order either at or very soon thereafter a spyder for demo purposes. Consequently, the spyders that come in first are, as a general rule, committed to demo use. However, as was the case with my dealer with my 2013, my dealer stepped aside and allowed me to have the first 2013 RT-S that hit their floor. This is because I ordered it the Monday following the BRP introduction of the new "13 line". In other words many dealers will for the sake of customer relations give way to the customer first.

I know the angst that many of you are going through. It takes every bit that you have to keep from either calling or going down to your dealer to check and see. All I can offer up is that it will be coming and you will be enjoying your spyder soon. I wish you the best.

RE: Dealers

When the :spyder2: first came out in 2008--my dealer snarfed the first one in Alaska for himself. I got the second one that came in that year. (June 2008).

Last summer, the dealer did the 2013 ST as his own personal ryde. He said no problems with it.

Time will tell about the 2014's here. Usual arrival March-April.

Extended Warranty

Just got notified by my dealer that my should be shipping the end of January. Does anyone know if the extended warranty deal they have going right now will still apply if they do not deliver my order by the end of January? I ordered one week after announcement.

I would recommend checking with your dealer. You may have to lock the deal in for the warranty.

Dealer called again today. Says truck due in tomorrow with my new RTL. Wanted to get started on the paperwork. Probably won't have it ready til tuesday, even if the truck shows tomorrow (closed Sun-Mon). Really pumped now! Guzzi

Since it only takes about 4 to 5 hours to do all assembly, then why not by Saturday afternoon?

:lecturef_smilie: Like they had nothing else on earth to do...and no other customers. Give them a chance and let them take the time to do it right. How many problems have been caused by hasty or inadequate dealer prep?

Pretty sure Len at Pitbull won't send Joe's out the door half baked. It can be done.

I saw a truck full of Can-Ams (couldn't tell if they were Spyders or ATVs) headed west on I40 at the CA/AZ line yesterday.
