• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Hi, everyone

So bring my Spyder for the suspension. I speak with the service manager , ask some question about the 2013 just to make friendly ,i know everything with Spyderlovers. Maybe i will trade my 2010. He tell me that i should wait for 2014, he said it will have more power and he said a 1300cc. Maybe they will unlocked the 990 for more power or it will really have a new motor.

It's not the first time i ear that. Like every years some rumor has the approach of the new model.

Will you regret your 2013 if they come out with new motor 1300cc and 6 gear.:yikes:

Nope

Just like computers, phones, other vehicles etc they will continue to come out with something that is better, faster, and not always cheaper.

^^^That^^^ is a very good question! Going to have to wait and see...

The current Spyders will already do over 100 MPH. How much faster do you need to go??

its really not a matter of how fast do you need to go (at least not for the RT owners, but maybe not so for the RS/ST owners.... lol)

a larger engine just gives you more power at all speeds and takes some of the strain off the engine

even after almost a year of riding my RT, there are still times I wish I had a 6th gear (or larger engine) when I am out on the highway at speed

Hi,

It's not about the speed but the smoothness of the motor the Spyder now look like a beast on adrenaline. On the RS it's feels great. But on the RT feel to much nervous. Maybe that why they keep me awake during

37,282.3641989884 miles till 2008 on GS and RT

Its really not that long now.. Club BRP is Sept 15-18th so we will know then just what the future holds in store for us. I imagine Lamont will post all kinds of pics during that event..

Now that is a tempting tidbit about the 2014's.

IMO: Advantages with a bigger engine.

:ani29:: Quieter and probably more torque so you don't have to wind it out like a jet.

:ani29:: Better mileage since the engine would not be running at high rpm's.

:ani29:: The cost issue will also come into play here. I expect it to be more, but if they play the game like Dodge does with the Hemi--$10K extra for a Hemi--not only NO--but--HECK NO.

If true about a bigger engine for 2014, then a lot of people, myself included, have some difficult decisions to make.

Everybody seems to want to be able to run with the foxes AND howl with the hounds...
Bigger engine
more power
smoother
better fuel economy
less heat...
A lot of these worthy goals almost work against each other... :gaah:
It's all about the balance...
