• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I was just wondering if anyone knows the capacity of the gas tank of the 2014 RT? Are they saying that the extra miles are coming from a larger tank or better mileage or a combination of both?

A slightly larger tank combined with the new engine = more miles  Dany Davey, the lead Spyder Tech at BRP did a couple of videos today for Len from Pitbull Powersports that were very informative. If you are on Facebook go to Pitbull's page and I think they are also on the Spyderfest page.

the tank capasity was only slightly larger about 3/10th but the added range came from the new engine and transmission. The claimed 252 miles actually is closer to 220 and he test rode the bikes all over Canada. The eco switch will maybe save you a mile per gallon so not to effective...

The Rider magazine specs printed 6.9 gal for the tank capacity. With the improved mileage, a range of 200 + is pretty much now a given. I am being conservative at 6 gallons and 35 mpg. That will be a very good deal for those who don't want to make a gas stop as often.
