There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. So Does the Base model come in the SE? I ride an 08 GS SM but oooo after I test rode the 14 RT with the SE, I fell in love. I really only want the Base and add to it at will, plus the price point is better for me...

Buuuut I have a chance to but a Red RT-S SM5 2013 leftover, for 22,000. Worth it? or stick to the 2014??????

Thanks
Rich

The base model is a head turner - you think you are looking at a 2012 or earlier then you see the shiny black plastic at the nose and you have to look twice. I saw a few at Spyderfest and was confused each time.

Here's the thing..!!

Your wanting to go to the semi-automatic so why consider the 2013 manual. If price is the issue still go for the one you want. If you tested the 2014 and really loved it go for it. Choices choices.....:dontknow:

BASE RT SE

....No BS ....I've seen the base 2014 RT SE for $24,499......................so don't even consider that 13....................JMHO, Mike

:agree:.. Bob, I took an 18 mile test drive at Spyderfest, on a 2014 base RT - SE, .:yikes: :2thumbs: .OMG....personally they NAILED IT with this one......you know me I change everything that can be changed to suit my needs / desires, I even make things that don't EXIST.......Well the only thing that would be changed are the GRIPS ( no motorcycle made has GOOD stock grips ) The ones I had on all my " WINGS " and now have on both my Spyders would immediately be put on my 2014..........This is going to turn out to be one very EXPENSIVE ----SPYDERFEST.:gaah: :roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:     :yes:  .........PS want to buy a COBRA cheap :hun: :coffee: ...............................please............:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:.....Mike

I went from an '08 GS SM5 to a base '14 RT SE6, and couldn't be happier. A word of warning though; the base RT models are hard to find as most dealers stock the RTS and RTL's, so it took me a little while to find one. Also, the older SE5 models will not have as good a resale down the road, so that may be something to consider when looking at a '14 SE6 vs. a '13 SE5.
