RT-S PE#0391
We've now passed beyond the fad of the neat little New Bright Spyder RS r/c toy. Lots of folks snarfed 'em up. All I ever wanted was a to-scale diecast of my Spyder RT. The only thing I've ever seen in diecast was something from HotWheels, called "Tri & Stop Me," that kinda looked like a Spyder, but it really wasn't. Ironically, it was supposedly 'inspired' by the Can Am Spyder production machines. Hmph. A fake inspired by the real thing which is actually cooler.
With the popularity of the Can Am Spyder (in both the earlier RS/RT flavors and now the ST), I don't understand the blantant vacuum of Mattel (HotWheels) or Hasbro (Transformers), not marketing just a little diecast of these machines (Course, this goes with my complaint that Kuryakyn won't make clamshell grips for the RT's either). I mean, "Let's just skip the obvious, and miss the market, okay?"
I would love to have a diecast model of my Spyder RT-S (or as close as possible) on my desk. I never really wanted the r/c Spyder; just a diecast. We started asking for these things back in 2010. It's now three years later, and the Spyders have been out for five years. I mean, if I can find a "NEW RAY SKI-DOO (BRP) MXZ REV 2003 1/12 SCALE DIECAST," or any number of models of low-density motorcycles, why can't we have a diecast Spyder?
Who do we complain to here?
