• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2013 ST Limited headed into shop again

Brought this 2013 spyder this past may. Have 1900 miles on it. So far the left switch cluster has been changed [2 visits], front trunk [latch 3 visits], power steering assist [1 visit]. All were fixed. MPG bad. Big heat problem around fuel filler area, Checked temp today with laser temp meter, around 176 degrees the other side at 200 degrees. The really bad news. Talk to dealer about trading for 2014, Only a $11,000 dollar difference. So everyone thanks to BRP all of the pre 2014 spyder will take a really big cut in value.

The good news is you can fix some of the heat

My cap rarely gets above 110 deg now and the rest of the overheated areas too. I had to pay to play but it could be done yourself I just wanted the dealer to do it just in case. Actually I have put mine into trailer mode and am enjoying the ride much more. It down shifts higher saving the brakes and prevents early shifts. It is like a different bike. It winds up much quicker as time goes on. The boss gave me the OK to upgrade to a 14 but based on my experience I am waiting for the discounts that will come out when the 15 is released. No more beta testing for me. All vehicles depreciate some more than others so I suggest you do some searches for heat mods and enjoy what you have until the time is right. I do like riding it.

P.S. my mpg has gradually increased too as many have said it will as you add miles and break it in. Riding style has a lot to do with it. It is counter intuitive but keeping it in the 5-6K range seems to improve it. Riding in lower RPMs seems to eat more gas thus the trailer mode prevents that I have gone for a consistent 25mpg to close to 27mpg and expecting that to continue:thumbup:

It is a weakness with this particular engine design in both the Spyder and the Aprilia.
That is very true.

I have the BMW F650 with the single spark Rotax in it.
I've been pretty lucky with mine having never leaked yet, but I have heard of others having to replace their water-pump seals more often than they'd like. And funny thing is they always seem to go bad when you're out in the middle of no where.
