I traded my 2011 rts on a 2013 limited the dealer has replaced the lower ball joints, tie rods, tie rod ends and aligned the front end under recall from brp.the steering is still squirmy wish I had my 2011 back any ideas?
I picked up my new 2013 RSS last Wednesday and have had similar results. Fortunately I kept my 2011 and am still riding it. I was excited about all the good reports on the '13 when they first came out now I wish I would have just stuck with my 2011.....My 11 has Wilbur Shocks on it. I didnt expect the Fox Shocks to be as good but this thing is like riding a wet noodle......I am Not happy to say the least. My 2011 has 34K miles on it and going on 2nd week the 13 has under 70 miles. Its 20 miles one way to the dealer and I guess I need to take it back and let them look at it instead of walking buy it and getting on the 2011 that I was supposed to be selling.
I have one: Sell it and get a Gold Wing Trike. They don't ever seem to have steering problems.
I put 59,148 miles on my 2010 RTS in less than 3 years so I guess you could call me an experienced rider. I am having issues with my 2013 RTS and I was told that my Spyder was sent to the dealer after the ball joint fix was in place. The issue for me is in strong crosswinds at higher speeds, a condition that is just about situation normal here in Las Vegas. After being hit by a strong crosswind the front end nose dives then the front end veers from side to side. Kind of like when a tree is hit with a gust it leans over as long as the wind is hitting it and then it snaps back and forth when the force of the wind lets up. It is scary when it happens and it happens a lot. I have an appointment on Wednesday for my dealer to look at it and I will let you all know what I find out.
