• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2013 Spyder RTS and Kewl Metal Performance Air Filter Kit

I posted this question in the RT Touring forum, but probably should have posted it here. This question is for anyone who has installed the Air Filter Kit on a 2013 Spyder RT. After wrestling the stock airbox out, I installed the Kewl metal kit. The instructions say to remove the crankcase ventilation hose from the left side of the motor and a new (longer) hose is supplied to connect the new air filter kit to the crankcase ventilation nipple. However, the 90 degree elbow this hose connects to is a smaller size than the crankcase ventilation nipple. As a result, it fits on the kit, but not on the nipple. I called Kewl Metal, who was not aware of a difference in the size on the 2013. It appears I will need to locate a larger elbow and obtain a piece of hose to connect the two. Has anyone else run into this, and if so, what was your solution?

the hose is for positive crankcase ventilation go to ace hardware and get a piece of hose that fits the nipple and fits inside the hose

I did this to both my RT 2010 and wifes 2008 GS.The crankcase vent is a larger diameter on both but the hose went on with a bit of washing up liquid as lubricant and a lot of twisting pushing and swearing.

Tried that on the 2013, without success. I posted in the RT Touring forum how I solved it.
