• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2013 Shop Manual

How does it look.

Does it look like it comes from a digital source, not scanned? In particular is the wiring diagram chopped up into pieces to fit a page?
It would be nice to have your opinion on this one because it looks like there are 4 or 5 other folks selling the same or similar manual.

It is a digital source. Looks great!

Just to let you all know that there is a download version available. I paid $28.50 for it and it covers all models.

I simply needed to know the procedure for retrieving "codes" on an ST. I wanted to know if it is different than the 2012 RT procedure.

Would you be so kind as to post the procedure for me so I can note it on another post of information for Syderlovers?

That's all I needed. I don't own one, but others have asked for me to post it if we can find it.

If so, I thank you. If not, I understand...

The ST and the RT are the same. I don't know if it is different than 2012 RT, but here is the 2013 procedure.

Are these two sites for the manual the same guy?

I personally have over 20 years of dealership experience; many of those years were spent as a mechanic, service writer, service manager and parts manager.
These years of experience help to ensure you'll be receiving the best manuals available anywhere.

When i did a search I found about 5 different web sources for the manual. They all look very similar and appear to come from the same source.

The person that sells these manuals does so under several different "companies" and "websites". They are all the same though. He has been doing this for as long as I can remember.

I have not had any problems with his downloads and thought the price was more than reasonable -- especially considering what a hard-copy of the manual costs. I have bought manuals through him for many different bikes I have had through the years.

This is not necessarily an endorsement for the guy, but rather just a statement of my experience.

I saw one of his ads yesterday, when I ran an online search for Spyder manuals. How are it's disassembly/assembly instructions for various things? I want to swap out my headlight bulbs, and this manual just might be the thing to save me some time a missteps on that project. TY!

Attempted a bulb swap this evening. Windshield, safety placard cover, and instrument cluster all came out OK. Attempted to pop off upper cowl (the one the turn signal stalks attach to).................didn't go so well. I didn't break or gouge anything up, but I didn't get the wascally wabbit off either. DLed RS manual, cited above in this thread...............did a quick scan through it. Fairly impressed so far, I'll do some page prints tomorrow [if it's not raining-----sigh; no garage :(] on upper cowl removal, and HL bulb swapping................and get those wascals done! Good instructions on front fender removal also.....................got some fender tip LEDs from Custom Dynamics to install too. Thanks for the tip on the manual!

Does this manual have the error codes? The one I have for my 2010 does not have the error codes and I want to make sure that I get one with them this time around.

If you have a copy of the 2010 shop manual, it should contain the codes. Go to the section "Electronic Management Systems", the the section "Monitoring Fault Codes". Code listings start on page 270 (293 of PDF) for my version.

Good thread.. downloaded the manual and it's well worth the fee. Great wiringing diagrams helped me get started wiring in my Scorpio rsi900 alarm system. 2 thumbs up!!

Scotty thank you very much for this info. I have searched my manual a million times using the specific code and always come up with no matches. I have never visited the Electronic Management Systems section and didn't know that the codes were there.

You can teach an old dog new tricks! Now that I've found it on my 2010 manual I guess I should really pop for the $28.50 and get a new one for my 2013 since there are a lot of changes on it.
