• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. 2013 RTS stalling problem

2013 RT Limited Stalling

Just picked up a new 2013 RT Limited with trailer last week. Stalled as dealer was showing me all the features. Dealer was not concerned and said it would clear up with more miles. He stated he would readjust idle if need be after I had a couple of hundred miles on it. Stalled twice at stops on way home. Stalled while idling in drive way a couple of days later. Has only stalled once in last week so problem seems to disappearing with miles like dealer said it would.

Thanks Lamonster! I learn more from You than dealer.Took it back Saturday, they could not find anything again and also said they called BRP and they said to check plugs and wires but they were fine. There answer was to put in some fuel treatment!I just hit 600 miles this weekend so will take in soon for service and a few more miles on it,Hopefully problem will stop!

My 2013 RT Limited stalled three or four times, within 30 seconds of starting, while idling but stopped doing so by the time I had 300 miles. Hasn't done so, since.

My 2013 RT has done it twice, once after pulling into a stop sign , another after start up and putting in gear. 350mi on it

Talking to some dealers is useless call BRP and get a case number direct. My dealer told me they do not listen to the dealers complaints. That is the only way this is going to get fixed. I know some dealers are better than others but I prefer going straight to the horses mouth.

I"ve got 9,000 miles on my 2013 and mine just started stalling at idle in the last couple of days. It seems to be idling rough as low as 1200 and then it will race up to 1700 and then back down again. I guess it will have to go back to the dealer.

My 2013 RT se5 has done that several times right after morning start up but, does it rarely now that I have 4000 on it. will have dealer check it out at 4600 mile service..

Has anyone experienced there spyder stalling when sitting at a stop sign or red light? Has happened to me six times now,the latest being today as i left the shop! they said it was a ground wire to the battery! But then it stalled on the way home.So curious if anyone else has had same problem?

Just got my 2012 RT limited repaired. It would shut off and could barley get off from a stop. Second attempt my dealer, very pleased with, found issue. Spark plug wire had micro break in it and would arc when wire got warm. Warranty issue and they got new wires and it runs beautifully again. Could not find issue until almost dark when electrical arch was visible.

Very pleased with my dealer. Three times issues repaired under warranty and no cost to me. 2012 rt limited purchased new last August and it has 16,000 miles. Pleased with machine. Rode it 900 miles with above issue . Once it got out of first gear it worked well. Now it purrs like my work horse rather than those silly show Loud HD that owners seem not to able to ride long. Just enough to make noise. It seems that they have to haul behind trucks to rallies then unload and revive up engines the load up to go back. Home.
