• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2013 RTL frunk won't latch

Suddenly after a short winter the frunk won't latch, tried lubricating but no dice. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

Check the bolts where they attach in the front of frunk. Put a little 3n1 oil on the latch mechanism. While you're in there wrap some thin wire to the latch, I drilled a small hole in the arm, and run it thru to back of wheel well. This it so that when the key latch won't open frunk you can reach under wheel and pull on the wire.

Do you have a frunk liner that may have worked it's way up and will not let the cover come down enough! That rubber seal or lip fits down over that plastic lip and makes a seal for water and what not. Good luck!!

With the frunk lid open push the latch lever from left to right, helping the spring get it fully into position. Now close the frunk lid. Hopefully it latches.

My 2019 RTL did this. Think they assembled the latch dry at the factory. Lubed it several times and manually moved the latch lever to its limits about 100 times to get it freed up. When I would do a visual working the key and manually closing just the latch all appeared fine. The latch lever just needed to be free enuff to move another fraction of an inch to let the latch latch. Took me longer to find the problem than it should have.
