• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does anyone know when the stealership sets up a new spyder do they do a front end aligment or just shoot it out the door.My rt still wanders back and forth and its not the tire pressure,or the lack of driving experiance. And i do have the new swaybar installed. Was wondering if they use a lazer to ck this when the prep the bike.Seems that they should do this due to the fact how many people complain about it, i know their answer will be They All Do That ! Yea Right!:banghead:

Was your :spyder2: acting like this before changing the swaybars? Because THAT will not fix that issue. They don't alingn the machine during setup, only if the customer reports the issue and the VIN is listed on the service bulletin. THe alignment and ball joints were supposed to be done at factory to all :spyder2: built on or after 3/13.

Have to agree..!!

:agree: have the dealer check that all handling issue work was done. It will be in the computer records if not have it done if it was done have them check the alignment...:dontknow:

Bingo the date I have been asking for in several threads 3/13/13 Thanks :firstplace:

the dealer told me that all updates were done when i picked it up including balljoints. i dont know if they did a alignment. When i told them the thing wonders back and forth they said They All Do That. I have to disagree with that i feel if the alignment is right the toe in or out would make the spyder track straight assuming the tire pressures are correct.

If this is your 1st Spyder, I would recommend 1)get with another rYder in the area and let them try yours and you try their's or 2)If the dealer is willing, test a demo model and see if it does the same thing. This could narrow down if the issue is on the :spyder2: or behind the handlebars;). In fact, option 1 would give you more answers. Good luck!

PS: The laser alignment system is done IF the dealer has that kind of equipment WHICH IS NOT SUPPLIED BY BRP. BRP has instructions on how to align them but I understand it is very tedious and some dealers are hessitant about doing this. If the dealer is not willing to compromise (if going to choice #2 and/or choice #1 narrows down to having issues with the Spyder), time to look for another one.

A :spyder2: that wanders, NOT due to driver input, has issues that need to be addressed. There are many possibilities as to the exact cause, but ball joints, shocks, alignment issues, etc. all come up on a regular basis. Alignment issues seem to be the "bear" that most dealers don't even want to mess with--so they like the comment "they all do that", a lot.

Hope you get yours fixed soon.

Good luck!! Don't discourage yourself on having to get rid of it because a good, customer based dealer will make sure to make the :spyder2: right. Just stay on top of them, and if nothing fixed, find another dealer.
