• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just so you know $649 is what BRP sells them for. So, if your going to have the dealer install them and pay that much you might as well just go to the dealer. Just my 2 cents.

I got mine for $430 brand new. I watched Ebay for a few weeks and a actual dealer put one up for sale with a "make offer" bid style. I offered the $430 and he accepted. This basically saved me $200.

Now as far as dealer install..... Dealers prefer to add this when your Spyder is being assembled because IT IS A JOB and a half to do after!
Expect to probably pay labor close to the cost of the bars themselves! If you pay full retail then with installation it will probably be over $1000.

Or do it yourself like I did :)

Does not look too hard to install just allot of cowling removal and some time. Thanks for the info.

It's not hard especially if you have the tools and are good and taking stuff apart!

Realize the instructions do not cover everything and expect you to know more than most do as they are geared towards a dealer doing the job.

Bottom line I am not a mechanic and feel that if your mechanically inclined at all, you can do the job.

Heck I did and I am a software guy with a background as a Xerox copier repair man. :)

I just put a set on my wife's ST Limited a couple of weeks ago. I, to, picked mine up on eBay for $425 with free shipping. I also saw a set, just before I bought mine, go for $352. Just keep looking and something will come up. When one goes you have to be on it quick or someone else will get them. When I was looking, I checked several times a day.

Found a black carbon triaxis handlebar for my wife's 2013 RT-S on ebay. Bid $500 and seller accepted it. Yeah!! Will use Bobs videos to install when it arrives.

As Bob said watch for the eBay listings that have a make offer button. The prices quoted are always MSRP. It's either that or lose the right to sell Can Am parts! BRP will not tolerate advertising prices below msrp, but they don't care what the dealer actually sells them for.

I got mine for $450 or $500 I think from an insurance salvage operation. New with everything included but no box.
