• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2013 RT or 2012 RT A/C

If you were going to get a new spyder which would you get if you had a choice? Please give which one and your reasons. I am looking at trading my 2010 RS SE5 for an RT and am looking at possibly one of these since they have about the same basic equipment.

Thanks for any input,

Bill

If price I equal, I'd go with the 2013. Some dealers, however, are deeply discounting 2012's, so that would influence the decision.

I have a 2011 RT A & C so I am a year off--but they are mostly the same as the 2012 A & C.
I purchased the A & C since I did not need all the electronic equipment that is offered on the upline model.

Also have a 2010 RTS--which has everything on it except for the cb and the garmin. I am not regretting the purchase of the "lesser" A & C. Works good for us.

There have been some front end improvements on the 2013's but no one has posted any high mileage results of their opinions yet. :bbq::bbq:

Also, as mentioned above--price can be another consideration. Let us know what you end up purchasing.

To me it all depends on how much you can save on the 2012 compared to the 13? If $ is no problem get the latest and Greatest- If $ is tight decide the best financial route?
I got my 2012 Base (New) RT for $17,000 plus tax Soo I chose to Keep both and the Rt has been great this winter-Rode 7 times in January which makes me Smile!

We considered waiting to get a 2013 but decided to buy a brand new 2012 RT-S SE5 for $20,766.00 out the door. That includes taxes and title! Would have been LOTS more for a 2013.

My thoughts

I got my wife a 2012 RTS-SE5 in Greenville, Tx, Louis Power Sports for $20,350 out the door and couldn’t pass up the deal. It was a day drive, night stay and a long day back but the price and service were great. I think the RTS is the model to get because of the upgraded equipment. You should be able to get an A & C for just under 18 grand if you shop around. Call Curtis in Greenville, Texas.
Deals are going to be far and few between on 2013s.

Good Luck
