• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2013 RT longer windshield

I have the stock windshield. Would like to have one that is longer. Does anyone know where to look for?

If you haven't already, try going to Can Am's website and building an RT. I've included a link, which I see doesn't take you to the actual screen I was on, so you'll have to build a couple of steps first, but when you get to accessories, drop down the menu on the left under Windshields, and you'll see what's available for a 2016 RT, although the photo looks like they may already come with a taller windshield now, so the list of alternatives may not help you. OTOH, I don't know how accurate mfr pics are because I recently bought a new 2015 RT-S, which, in the mfr photo showed a low windshield, but when it was delivered to and assembled by my local dealer, it actually had the 25" one.

The 2013s came with a 25" windshield, and that's the tallest offering by BRP...
But Cal-Sci and F4 do make taller and wider screens for you!

F4 and you can even get it wider as well as taller if you want. Best part is you can clean your F4 with Windex and paper towels.

I wouldn't advise buying an overpriced brp windshield when it should of really came on the machine in the first place. I have a cal-sci tall wide vented windshield. For the money I think the cal-sci is a great windshield. Had mine since 2012 with no issues. F4 is a good choice too, seems everyone loves their F4 also but it is a little more expensive. Whatever you choose, make sure it's vented.

F-4 WINDSHIELD

I didn't like the windshield on my 2013 RT-S, so I put an F-4 tall and wide on mine about a month ago and I love It, I've put about 500 mi. on since Installing the new F-4, It really does the job..

Nothing bad to say about calsci but lets just say some well respected tech folks in Spyder world said the F4 shields are definitely the best, especially clarity and scratch resistance. Met Don and F4 at bike week and was going to put one on but couldn't decide on the size. Still having trouble, wishing they had a +1 instead of just the +3, but will likely go with a vented stock but wide soon. Bob - roughly $270 - $435 depending on size and options for RT.

Thanks!
I guess that BRP's windshields are pretty much in the same price range... :D
It kind of makes calling them "overpriced", seem... incorrect! :roflblack:

Wouldn't know! I had my windshield cut 3" shorter! :shemademe_smilie:
Thinking about cutting it 2 more!

F-4 WINDSHIELD

Hi Bob, I bought the tall, wide with a vent Installed, Don had a sale going on for some seconds, I couldn't find a blemish on mine anywhere. With shipping It was about $350.00 , I figured I saved about $100.00 compared to the new price, not a second, It Is truly a great windshield..

F4

I see that F4 has the one I am interested in. Now to decide do I need the vent or not. Could not find the longer windshield on the Cal Sci page. Anyone have good arguments for the vent?
