• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2013 RT Headlight Problems

Newbie, thank you all for providing this forum and sharing your experience!

I don't ride at night very often but I came home in the evening the other day and notice my lights wouldn't switch between high and low beams, I thought there was something wrong during the day when I switched to low beams and tried to flash someone to let me pass and got the impression the flash feature wasn't working. The lights closest to the center are on, not sure if those are high beams or low beams. I checked fuses in the "Frunk" and didn't see any were burnt out. Any ideas?

The 2013 uses a single filament bulb, and high and low beam are determined by a mechanical shutter inside the headlight assembly that flips up for high beam and cuts off half the aperture for low beam.
You should be able to hear the shutter work when you flip the high beam switch.
Is this bike still under warranty? If the shutters aren't working I'm sure someone else will suggest a fix or proper troubleshooting.

Check the relays. If one is loose, or not working, it won't switch between high and low beam. There are three relays in the headlight circuit.
