• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2013 events

Just stay tuned here. For the most part, the details for these are not announced until several months ahead of time. If there isn't a specific thread on here, there will usually be a mention, so you can look things up elsewhere. Typical major events are:

Spyderfest - April
BRP Spyder Owners' Event - June
Magog - July?
Spyders in the Redwoods - August
Spyders in the Adirondacks - August
Lamonster BBQ - September

Dont forget the Kentucky ride. It's gonna be first weekend in Oct..

Being from Texas, I would definitely be interested in this one. Where do I get more info?

Pm FlamingoBabe for more info.
The Gathering of the Spyders is all about the best BBQ around and a whole lot of fun!

The Barbeque at Lamont's is starting to sound possible.
Is there ANY idea of when that might be?
I've had one weekend free up, and I'm hoping...

Petosky Tunnel of trees

Boots...We're gonna do Spyderfest of course....Lamonts BBQ is a must do and we're also gonna go back to Spyders inthe Adirondacks...guessing around 4500 miles...not counting the local Michigan Rides to Hell, Artesian Wells and other stops on our quest to find the best BBQ or pizza in the State of Michigan....If you want to add to the list of must do's, just post it...Forgot to mention the annual trip to Petosky to do the Tunnel of Trees, watch for Bob & Joan to post details for this year..
Won't be a problem ever to get other folks to ride with you almost any time. I'd like to make a trip over to Ontario to meet more of our Canadian friends. Anybody can take the lead...throw your ideas out.

Would be interested in the date for this ride. Love the Petosky area.

Lamont isn't far from Brenda's Uncle's house in Tennessee. I am very much looking forward to getting down there to do some ryding. I know some of the really cool places, and can get hotels very cheap. I expect to make multiple trips to that area of the country this season.

BBQ

Is there a date set for Lamonster's barbeque?
Last year it was the first week in September. Before that he had it in conjunction with the owners event in Maggie Valley and before that in conjunction with Spyders in the Smokies. I would imagine if the owners event goes back to Maggie Valley this year as suspected, then his BBQ will coincide with that. I'm sure he will jump in and clear the air.
Last year was a lot of fun. We had a great day of riding through some beautiful country that was challenging if you wanted it to be. There was a day of tech support as well. The day of the BBQ, it rained, but after we had eaten so nobody cared. It was a great event as it has been every year. I highly recommend if you can make it. :firstplace:

Do you know where and when the Kentucky ride is? I am from southern Indiana and would love to attend.

The ride is in western KY in the Land between the Lakes area(Kuttawa, KY) and according to the info in another post it will be the 1st weekend in October.

KYSPYDER

MAGOG is in eastern Canada. I believe it is in Ottawa Ontario this year. Would like to see them put it out west one year.
Magog is in Quebec ( it's put on by some Quebec spyder ryders) The event in Ottawa is different (it's sponsered by the Ontario Spyder dealers) so it will always will be a Ontario event but all Spyder Ryders are invited to both events Here is the link for the Ontario event
