• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2013 events

Just stay tuned here. For the most part, the details for these are not announced until several months ahead of time. If there isn't a specific thread on here, there will usually be a mention, so you can look things up elsewhere. Typical major events are:

Spyderfest - April
BRP Spyder Owners' Event - June
Magog - July?
Spyders in the Redwoods - August
Spyders in the Adirondacks - August
Lamonster BBQ - September

oooohhhhh IC. Thanks guys. Might have a few events to get to this year. Glad I am swapping out the seat, gonna need the padding. I was thinking about hitting Americade this year, since it is so close. I foresee a lot of myles on the odometer before this season is out.

If you drew a triangle between Syracuse, Utica, and Binghamton dead in the center You would have Norwich, NY. I am 11 miles west of there. About 4 miles south of State Route 23.

I have plans to attend Americaide as well--perhaps we will "run" in to each other

Yeah, if I changed my route and somehow ended up In Syracuse just off of I-90. That would be "weird". Then we would have to go to "The Dinosaur BBQ" for lunch or something.

That's a good thing to know; YOu're in SpyderJockey's back yard (Homer, NY)
I KNOW I've got his screen name misspelled... :opps:

We're heading to SpyderFest in the same group; wanna ride along???

If I can get free I would definitely love to ryde with you guys. It would be my first long trip with "the mistress" and it would be great to ryde with people I know. Spyderjockey and I will hopefully be doing a lot of ryding together this season. He does ryde right past my house on his way to the bike night at Gilligan's in Sherburne every week. I got a lot of prep to do if I am gonna go. My hand should be fine by that point, so that is one less thing to worry about. I am also hoping to be starting a new job soon, which means I gotta see if I can get the time. And I gotta get the mistress prepared for a long tour, including strapping a bag to bring clothes along. The next couple weeks will tell whether I am headed to Spyderfest or not. Gotta get my ducks in a row or the wife will not be easy to convince. I am hopeful though, and I don't give up easily.

where do I get information for 2013 Spyder events ? thankyou

Boots...We're gonna do Spyderfest of course....Lamonts BBQ is a must do and we're also gonna go back to Spyders inthe Adirondacks...guessing around 4500 miles...not counting the local Michigan Rides to Hell, Artesian Wells and other stops on our quest to find the best BBQ or pizza in the State of Michigan....If you want to add to the list of must do's, just post it...Forgot to mention the annual trip to Petosky to do the Tunnel of Trees, watch for Bob & Joan to post details for this year..
Won't be a problem ever to get other folks to ride with you almost any time. I'd like to make a trip over to Ontario to meet more of our Canadian friends. Anybody can take the lead...throw your ideas out.
