• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2013 Can-Am Roadster Accessories

Hey guys, I happen to live in Florida plus I'm getting ready to retire. My folks, who were in their in their mid thirties, moved the family to Florida in 1955 so I've lived here most of my life. Can't imagine living anywhere else. We have our hurricanes, others have their mud slides, tornados, forest fires, and earthquakes. You don't have to be retired to live in and enjoy the great state of Florida.

Florida is a great state, I spend some time there every year as it's cold as hell here. It's fortunate that we have 49 other great states and we can travel with our spyders and do pretty much what we want. We also have a great neighbor to the north that allows us to travel without restriction and treats us more than very well.:):):)

What did they do to the windshield?

Is it just me or am I missing something here.....

Why would they do away from the electronic adjustable windshield to one you have to take two hands to change and be STOPPED to boot?

Come on....really?

Makes more sense to be cruising down the road and wanting more or less wind and protection from the elements or elements that change quickly to change it with a push of a button than to do what they have planned on the 2013's.

That to me was NOT a smart move BRP!!!!!!

Do you think that anybody'd be silly enough to let go of the bars, and reach over the top to make an "on the fly" adjustment??
We'd NEVER do such a thing! Honest... ;) :roflblack:

There was mention of a bluetooth communications system. Anyone have more inho on that? Getting a 2012 RT Limited with the full Can Am comm system. Just wondering if the new system is all bluetooth and can be installed on the 2012.

May have the salesman take it off the order and just wait and see.

I would not set my hopes too high. BRP is reusing the old Zumo 660, which has been replaced by the 350 for the general public. The advantage of the 660 for an OEM is that it provides the Bluetooth interface for you so you don't have to worry about it.

I would not expect to have built-in bluetooth if you're not buying a Limited.

...Ben...

The Zumo 660 has been discontinued and replaced by the Zumo 660LM.

LM just means life time map updates, the unit is exactly the same.

Garmin use LM and LTM, life time maps and life time traffic and maps.

The 660 with the spyder you get one free update then you either purchase each update or pay a little more and pay for lifetime updates.

The 665 comes with XM radio puck but is basically the same GPS just as the extra XM software.

Ben just beat me to the submit

I don't thank they did away with the electronic windshield on the RT it is just the new ST that is manual. And that could be cost or not having the room to fit it in on the smaller fairing.

So what is the deal with the Akrapovic silencer? is this a new performance muffler that will replace the hindle? I would be interested in learning more about this silencer.

It also saves weight, and electronic complexity.

Question: Are there any hard numbers available out there yet? "Real" specifications; so that some comparisons can be made that have a factual basis.
