There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. 998cc 2012 Spyder RTS iPhone compatibility???

Hello,

I have a 2012 Spyder RTS and I want to know if my iPhone 12 Pro would be compatible using the 30 pin apple connector with an adapter to the lightning port. Will it use the interface built in like I have seen the older iPhones/iPods do? I use Apple Music and stream all my music. would that work or does it need to be downloaded? Also is it possible to run a long cable from the rear cargo to the front and plug my phone in at the handlebars? Or should I just buy a bluetooth adapter like Lamonster sells and just connect via bluetooth? TIA for any helpful information.

Not sure the Apple Music functionality will be same as the radio does with iTunes tracks from device. The 30pin to Lightning Apple adapters do work, some of the off bands have had problems. The Bluetooth adapter would be easier & less chances of pinching/cutting cable in long run for future maintenance & tupperware removal. If using cord & adapter definitely suggest securing phone somewhere (not necessarily handle bars) help prevent cable movement. Srz havet tested that generation iPhone yet, should work just can’t say Apple hasn’t done something wonky
