There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. 2012 RTS-SE5-Seat Air Bag Question

Hello:

Today while out riding our 2012 Spyder RTS-SE5--my wife said she felt like she was sitting lower to the ground then normal and noticed that it was easier to get on the bike then normal. I noticed too my headlights were hitting signs in low beams.

So I went to adjust my airbag in the rear suspension and all of a sudden on the Dashboard control it says in ORANGE letters where the air pressure guage for it used to show what level of hardness it was setting the word MANUAL and I can't seem to adjust it.

So, what does this mean? Does it mean my pump has gone bad?????

I just had the bike in for service where they connected up the rear heated handgrips that were never connected apparently when the bike was new.

I had complained to the mechanic that the air pump for the rear air bag seemed to run too much. He told me they updated the BUDS system and it should not run as frequently or as long as it had been. So could this now be a actual problem?

and If I do air it up manually---what pressure should I have it set at for medium to high. It seems like the air has some how bled itself off. It was set to medium high before this occurred.

Could it be a blown fuse? Are all fuses located up front? In the FRUNK?

Any help and suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you!

;)

Several things can cause this. You can check the fuse (F8) and the load shedding relay (R5), but if the heated grips, trunk light, and air suspension work, that circuit is probably OK. Since your air suspension is not working, I'd suspect a blown fuse. "Why did it blow?" is the question. I'd suspect a failed compressor. Other possibilities include the air suspension relay (R1), and the ACS sensor link. That can become disconnected or broken. The air release solenoid won't do it, but can cause the compreeor to run to often and fail (as can an air leak elsewhere)...resulting in a blown fuse and a warning. Your dealer needs to try harder.
