• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Getting ready to install a new rear tire, a Michelin Defender. Anyone have a good place to order the bearings, o rings and seals beside going to a dealer?

Here's the list that I have so far. Just hope I haven't forgotten anything:

Double row bearing 293350065 1 each
Seal 293200094 2 each
Ball bearing 293350067 2 each
O ring 293300131 2 each
O ring 293300124 1 each

Thanks!

I ordered them from Cheap Cycle Parts

293200094 Seal. Model-RT STD $8.99 CAD 2 required
293300124 O-Ring $4.99 CAD
293350067 Ball Bearing $9.99 CAD 2 required
293350065 Double Row Bearing. Model-RT STD $26.99 CAD

Also you will need to fabricate a tool to remove the inner bearing. You can order the BRP tool but get ready for sticker shock! You don't need the blind hole bearing puller and can drive it out with a socket but in case your into tools the BRP tool parts numbers are below.

Tools:
529036113 for bearing nut removal
529036117 blind hole bearing puller

Bob,

Thanks!

Got everything on order. Sure do appreciate your help.

As soon as everything comes in I'll get the tire mounted. Then I'll work on changing out the bearings, seals and o-rings.

Hopefully my video will help you out :)

I notice that as part of your rear tire replacement you are also doing bearings and seals, but you don't seem to have that many miles on your Spyder. Is it normal to need to replace the rear wheel bearings this soon? I have been riding 2 wheels for 50 years and except for getting them contaminated by some means I have had wheel bearings last for many more miles then this. I am getting ready to buy a used Spyder(2012 RT L )with a little over 8000 and a worn out rear tire.
