• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I bought a 2012 RT SE5 in July of 2012. It came with an additional 2 years warranty at no cost to me. Apparently it was not filed with BRP, and now I can't get warranty work done. Anyone that can give me some pointers will be appreciated.

What kind of extended warranty was it? If it was a BEST warranty BRP may help you out but your dealer must go to bat for you.

If it was purchase in July 2012, The factory doubled the 2 year warranty, effectively giving a full 4 year warranty instead of the normal 2 years. So far, it appears that the dealer did not file the paperwork for the extra 2 years. Now they are wanting the put the ball in my court by saying I haven't the proper paperwork to prove it.

Similar issue

I have a 2013 RT L that I am having a similar issue with. Bought in May 2013 when they had the 1 year BEST warranty added to the deal. Never got anything from BRP so on 11/2/15 contacted Brpcare who told me the warranty expired 11/1/2015 (2 year factory and 5 month BEST) and that the dealerships are independent and may apply promotions differently. Contacted dealership who stated that did not sound right and they would check into it two weeks ago. Nothing but crickets since...
:banghead:

You should have received a letter from BRP along with a warranty card in the mail shortly after your purchase. The card has the phone number to call for roadside assistance, your VIN info and it also says the ending date of the policy.

Try calling BEST and give them your VIN and see what they say.

Do you have your original sales receipt? If you bought from a dealer it should state every thing included in the deal.To everyone else when you buy make sure every term of the deal is written down in the paperwork,if not you only have the honesty goodwill and memory of the sales staf to go on and thats to many ifs.

As Ann said. Had you gotten the BEST extended you should have received this in the mail.

Pretty much if you do not have it shown on the original bill of sale and the dealer did not file the paperwork with BRP, they STOLE the cost of the extended warranty from you. If you don't have the paperwork to prove it, its your word against theirs. Sorry you were taken by an unscrupulous dealer but there may be little you can do at this point.

Be sure you get paperwork to show all agreements when signing the deal.
