• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2012 RT-S Check Engine Light

I am having an ongoing problem with the check engine light. I had installed a two Brother muffler and juice box. This was last November. Since that time, and 3 trips to the dealer I continue to get the check engine coding after about 60 miles of riding. The bike seems to run fine but the blinking orange light is frustrating and annoying. The light did go out briefly after i stopped and fueled the bike, but returned again after another 20 minute run. I am tired of going 3 hours back & forth to the dealer. Any Suggestions, I just feel it is a fuel management issue since the last group of codes were either too rich or too lean.

Thanks

I think you should disable the fuel management and ride it to see if it goes away.

As I see it..!!

going back to square one is a good idea. Some controllers have special needs like their own o2 sensor. Some spyders have two o2 sensors and this may be causing some confusion to the computer. I would go back to running without the controller and see the effect. :dontknow:

The RT has different mapping in the ECM. After market fuel controllers do not work well on the RT. They will cause the check engine light because the ECM cannot read the controller.

Thanks, I agree, the dealer told me he had done many of these and that the JB would eliminate backfires. He was right, no backfires but he did not count on the computer sensors going off.

Check engine light

I have a 2010 RT that I bought used. Came with the Two Brothers exhaust and Juice box. Worked ok for about six months than all of sudden same problem you are having. Several trips to the dealer and empty wallet. Last check engine light that came up was for o2 senser. Found two on ebay and changed them out. Removed the juice box and made a 7500 mile trip to the east coast and back. No more check engine light. That trip was last June. Had some deexceleration back fires for a while. They seemed to go away. Hope this helps.

Thanks very much, I am hopefully moving in the same direction. Also found out two guys stopped making these juice boxes, they told me they had some issues with them. Also found out that the company that made them, Dyno Jet no longer offers as well. They however offer a Power Commander box. :banghead:
