2012 RT LTD comfort(?) seat

Can someone confirm if the new 2012 RT LTD comes with a new comfort seat as is written on page 36 of the 2012 accessories document?
I love this forum, great source of info.
My new LTD will arrive in the next few weeks....can't wait..wondering about the new seat though.

I brought this up a few weeks ago and came to the conclusion this was a misprint in the book. I was at my local dealer who had both a Limited and an RTS in stock. I was anxious to try the new seat as mentioned in the book with 2" more space for the driver. I sat on both, looked at both and thought they looked exactly the same. We took a rule and measured and they were the same, no difference in driver room between them. I am not sure if anyone contacted BRP to ask or not, but I am fairly sure it is not standard as mentioned in the book.

Yes, the 2012 LTD does come with the 'comfort' seat, at least mine did.

My wife's 2012 RT Limited seems to have exactly the same seat as my 2011 RT SM.

No difference that we can see or feel.

My 2012 RT Ltd seat seems about the same as my 2010 RT, but when I took delivery, the Alcoa GoodTimes Parts Mgr was showing me a new optional BRP comfort seat they were offering for about $500+ that was mainly intended for larger/taller riders.

What happened to Idaho? I can understand Alaska, Hawaii and the northern tier of Canadian provinces being empty, but how did you manage to avoid Idaho since you've been to all the surrounding states and provinces?:clap:

Actually there are two continental states we missed. Rhode Island and Idaho. We missed 'em both but were very close on the east coast many times. On the west coast, the first time we went up to British Columbia out of Washington, cut across Alberta and came back to the states into Montana.
The second time we traveled the southern route through Wyoming and cut down to Ogden, narrowly missing the state of Idaho.

Don't know if we'll get a chance to add those two to the map anytime soon.

I can confirm now that it does not come standard on the RT LTD, it is an option.

I would imagine that would depend on the particular passenger...and the rider, too.
