Thanks for humoring me. Now I understand how you ended up with a round connector on a 2014, and yes, what you want to do does make sense. Now, with all due respect to Finless Bob, since you have a 2012 module, only 4 wires were used on the round connector, not 6.
The reference for this comes out of the 2012 trailer manual.
So, back to your original question - I don't know of any dealer or after market plug that will provide a direct conversion from the round connector to a flat 4-pin. And you have two trailers with two different plugs. Maybe you would want to get rid of the round connector on the bike and put on this setup and convert everything to a square 4-pin:

And yes, there's that BRP adapter to allow hooking up a BRP trailer for automotive use, that you might be able to modify. Don't know anything about it though. Perhaps, as long as you have a multimeter and can read out the pins on the flat 4-pin - and as you said, you could probably make up something on your own using NAPA parts.
