2012 RSS Transmission Filter

I have an early 2012 build RSS SE5. Would it have the new longer transmission filter or did they just go to the longer ones on the RTs???

They put on the new filters with longer mileage b4 oil change on my 2011 RS,so I would think they would be standred on the 2012's,check with your stealer at your next service.

I just realized that I measured and took a photo of the wrong filter housing! The above photo is of the oil filter housing.
Below are photos of the transmission filter housing. Therefore, I have the old small filter for the transmission.

A friend with an early '12 RT SE did not have the new filter either. Got one in recently with an oil change. IF you do your own, most likely you'll get the free cap when you buy the transmission filter. About $7.85 is what I paid. They are pricey on the motor filter tho, so I use Hi-Flo filters avail from BajaRon.

My dealer had upgraded all of their kits so they come with filter, new cap, o-ring, and instructions. Make sure u get at retail price, 69.99.

Bought my 2012 RSSin September it had the short version. When I did my third oil change the kit came with the new cover and filter.
