• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I had my spyder at the Can-am dealer because i have some bad vibrations when i accelerate hard (starts around 6000rpm)
They said that the tension was to high and they lowered it.
I still have the same vibrations but i think i can feel it even more now on lower rpm.
Is the only way to fix this problem to put on the belt tensioner you advertise on your front page?

Sorry about bad spelling... (I am from Norway)

Seems like the Can-am dealers in Norway don't have the knowledge.

Make sure they have adjusted the tension to the recommended BRP settings, to give you an idea, if you can twist your drive belt to around 90 degrees its probably pretty close. Or maybe get them to check the drive belt alignment.
A belt tensioner may help, but also may just hide a problem

Interesting..!!

if the belt was to tight for a long time you might want to check both the counter shaft bearings and the rear wheel bearings. The tensioner works mostly on running vibrations not so much on load vibrations...the alignment and the tension should be checked as well as the condition of the belt...

The belt tension was to high for maby 2000km, the dealer use the measure equipment that BRP recommend.
The alignmentt looks ok, 1-2mm from the inner edge.
When the vibration starts i can adjust the trottle (go off)and then put it on again without vibrations.
It is no noise from the belt and bearings.

The spyder have only 6000km total.

I will order an belt tensioner from Smooth Spyder and i hope it will help :)
