• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Left front caliper hanging up. Dealer says $1072.00 to change. That sounds insane. Hea said 3 hours to bleed alone. Is that reasonable? I have changed a few on cars. Is this something I could do?
Part seems to be less than $200.

I NEVER use dealers except for FREE warranty work ..... so my opinion might not matter ...... BTAIM ... I think He/She wants to send the kids to college .....on your dime ..... If you have done a car you can do a Spyder plus you probably don't need a BUDS re-set ...... the BUDS thing is mostly CYA for BRP ..... jmho ...... go for it ..... Mike

3 HRS

3 HRS.....??????? HOLY CRAP....! ! ! :yikes:

i NEVER did a brake bleed on a SPYD3R until a couple months ago..... didn't know where to start, or end.... didn't know the sequence, didn't know CRAP..... and it took me less than a hour to figure it out AND DO THE PROCESS....

i'd find another dealer.... WOW....! ! !

see other thread....

But they use the shop flat rate manual from BRP. It states 3.0 hours for the full change and bleeding including the last step to be done with BUDS. Now on the other hand the caliper is 1.3 hours and should mean it will be bled so it is working properly.

Just a note....Steps to bleed are : left front, Right front and then Rear...

Sorry I posted twice. New to the site and couldn't find the original post.
Just a follow up on this.
The bike was in the shop for repair from being rear ended. I had ask them to adjust the parking brake and the long stroke on the regular brake.
Parking brake now works as it should.
The long stroke is gone from the regular brake. Nice firm pedal.
I lifted the left front and spun the wheel. No brake drag. Spun it again and hit the brakes. Stopped it like it should.
I do not see a problem and don't think there is one.
