2012 brake pad problem

Was changing front brake pads on a 2012 rss from the stock pads to the ebc pads getting ready for ride to Québec next weekend. On the last pad, one of the clips on the back side of the pad broke and dealer tells me you have to get get a set of 4 new pads to get them clips. Does anyone know where you can just get the clips or if someone might have a old set with them still in that can be taken out. Thanks again if anyone can help me with this. Ironside

That is right you can't buy them separately,Bajaron can't get them and EBC does not include them in their replacement pads. I broke one of mine on my 2012 RT and in the end made one of my own. Go to a hobby shop and buy some piano wire. It is very stiff which is what you want. I measured my wire thickness with a mic or a caliper before I went. I couldn't find the exact thickness so I got the closest I could find slightly thicker. Using one of the good clips I bent the new one to shape. Not very pretty but it has held for 4000 mi. I think I have a picture of it at home. If I do I will post it when I get home.

I think it is a crime that BRP does not provide these clips separately or that you can't get them from the OEM pad supplier:banghead::banghead::banghead:. If you want to replace your clips(and I feel they should be replaced when the pads are replaced) you HAVE to buy OEM
