• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Want to purchase a shop manual. Doing searches brings up everything from a to z basically in manuals and prices. Preferences between hard copy or CD? Who likes which one ?

I like the cd, I loaded it on my desk top and I can use the cd in my laptop out in the garage.

I have both and paper is better than plastic if I'm in my shop. On the road I use my iPad.

If I'm in my shop, I just print out the pages I want from the CD. I can get as many greasy fingerprints on them as I want.

Paper manual

That's good to know, Hawk Eye. I have the CD and it's like kissing my sister - just not the same as the real thing!!
;)
We need to ride some in the coming weeks. Did a 4 hour yesterday, when I met a friend at the Fire House while voting. We went up to Summerville and had a nice lunch at "Jim's."

This Sat is out - could you go Sunday or any day next week except Monday? Ride with my "Pain" Doctor a lot of weekends. He's got a new BMW RR100S (or something like that.)

I have Green-Manuals on CD from www.green-manuals.com and I like them because they all the parts listed and exploded views. I print out what I need and after I use them in the garage, I put them in a three ring folder to keep in the garage.
