• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I'm trying to purchase a new Spyder, and I have no clue as to what people are actually paying for the one in the title. Retail is $19,200, is $18,200 a good deal?

If you can get it for $18,200 out the door, that's a great deal. The MSRP, $17,999, plus freight and setup, tax and title is WAY over that. By most dealers, $2000 over.

My dealer wants $18,200 plus tax, title, license. MSRP is $19,199 right out of the catalog. I was thinking 1k less was a good deal, as MSRP doesn't include tax, title or license.

Retail for the 2011 Spyder RS-S with semi-auto is $19,200.

According to BRP site...MSRP is $16,499. SE5 is $1500 more. Total $17,999. Dealer prices may vary. My price does not include freight and setup. That cost varies like night and day between dealers. That is how you may have gotten your $19,200 retail.

My oversight. I didn't see the extra "S" in the model. $19,199 is correct. If he does not add freight and prep and lets you have it for $18,200 plus ttl, that sounds pretty good. What's left is to deal off the final price or get a good helmet thrown in.

Well,

I'm a proud owner of a new Spyder....yippee!!!!

Bad news though, got in a bit of a hurry and made a rookie mistake installing my sport rack. I pinched and ruined the cable.
Anyone know where I can get a replacement cable besides my local dealer?
Any place online?

I think that you can probably make it work. There is really no tension in operating the cable to work the rack plate. Any repairs on the cable should do well. You can make it work, I believe.
