Hello all, I know that this size of engine does burn a bit of oil so I ask if 1.5 litres of 10w40 is normal consumption over 530 miles? :yikes:

That seems like a lot of missing oil... most folks seem to report burning about a half-quart between oil changes... :shocked:

I see that you are new to the forum so i will remind you that the engine should be up to normal heat range before checking the oil, a good 20 minute ride will get it to the heat range proper for checking the oil, a little low is better than overfull.
