• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2011 RTS

Anyone get a quote on a 2011 RTS that was below list ?

We always have spyderlover deals, there's no model or time limited...... Might be a milage problem, but the deals always on the table for any of our spydelover family. Just pm or call. My cell 314 623 4743 store number 800 258 6898. Call anytime I know it like to be on both sides of desk! That's why we started the store ..... Got tired of getting worked over for our toys from sales to service, we always try to remember that part!

Yes and no. Yes we made a deal for a bit less than MSRP, but no we did not make the type of deal I normally do. For example... Purchased three vehicles at different times this year. Most recently was a new 2010 F-150 Supercrew Lariat, we paid $13,715 under MSRP. Another... Wife's Mustang GT for $2200 under Rough trade in (NADA) and the car was used but in beautiful condition.

Anyway.. Why did we not work as hard on the Spyder? Easy. With all the Can-Am dealers closing, with the wonderful service we have received, and the way we have been treated thus far... Is worth more than Money to us. So in our minds we think of it as a way to make sure we are doing our part to help keep our dealer in business.

Taking $1000 of profit from them after being treated so well, in this economy. Does not make since. Of course this is just how we see it. Does not mean anyone else should. I am a cheapskate and hate not getting the best deal possible. Sometimes that is not always in the form of Money...:spyder2::2thumbs::doorag:

:agree: I have 2 :spyder2:I bought from Cowtown. One an 09 SE5 and the newest a 2010 RT-S with custom paint that is actually a used bike( owner didn't like the way it drove!! tough luck to him) I didn't EVEN haggle over the price altho I tried to get a new 11 and have Mr Cowtown Rick put in the fogs. He giggled!!! But I got the 10 and it HAS fogs!!! AND special paint job!!! Bettrnthe 11:ohyea::ohyea:!! Of course now I am broke so have to take my time on any mods I want on the bikes!!!BUT THIS TOO SHALL COME EVENTUALLY!!! just a little longer than planned!!!:firstplace::yes::yes:

I agree with the gent above.. If you can find a dealer that gives great service (which I have yet to find), it would be worth not getting the best dealer vs MSRP

I had to buy my RS 180 miles away to get a deal that would fit my budget (cash ONLY for toys), but service was an issue. When I decided that I wanted an RT, the local dealers would barely talk to me AT MSRP for any of the RT models they had. So, I was fortunate to find a good used RT that I could stretch into.

Every remote dealer I talked to added hundreds in "additional fees", then shipping on top of that - even if you pick it up & ryde it home - there's a cost.

On a new bike - I'll wager the total cost won't really vary much. So if your budget won't stretch that far, support the forum members, and consider one of the low milage used Spyders listed....

Just my $0.02

Price; while important, is only a part of the entire deal... Would any of us buy from the cheapest guy out there if we knew that the service would be crap right from the start? HECK NO! You find a dealer that you trust, and you do whatever you can to keep him around!
That having been said... when we bought our RT, we got it for about $1500 under retail, and the salesman gave us about $1500 over book on our trade-in... I'd attribute it to them getting ready to start ordering 2011 models, so they needed to get the old stock out of the way...

:agree:Service first, price second for me. I have worked with the same dealer since 2001 and have bought 7 bikes from him (3 :spyder2:). They treat me very well on everything. When I have had little glitches, they have taken care of them immediately, on the spot. On top of all that, their service techs know what they are doing, and I have not had to bring the bikes in two or three times to get the same issue fixed.

I agree you have to have a shop with great service....and the spyder servieces are getting better every where! its about time i might add! some times finding the spyder you want in color and model is getting to be the bigger challenge! we have never been the cheapest! nore want tp be but want all our customers feel they got a great deal!....it was once said the bitterness of bad service is far longger remembered than sweetness of a cheap deal!... But truth be said spyder services as a whole are getting better and more of them too:2thumbs::2thumbs::2thumbs::2thumbs:

Thanks for all your replies . I have infact delt with most of the sponsers on this site in the 2 years I have been A Spyderlover and will continue to do so as long as I ride a :spyder2:.

I agree service is and should be foremost on your mind when you make a deal. What I am tring to do is save about 5,000 ( the differance I would pay for the same bike you would buy and my bike would only be shipped 300 miles )and buy a new DEMO state side and bring it back to Canada .I have a great service dept. now that works on my SE5 that I had bought from another dealer. No questions asked . So I don't think too many of you wouldn't look to save 5 grand on a :spyder2:and worry about service later.
