• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2011 RTS issue, any thoughts ? Bike wont start, battery is fine is starts to go on but never actually rolls over almost like its out of gas but has a full tank ?

Not to sound stupid, but, is the kill switch in the off position? I did that 1 time and felt like a fool.. Lesson learned..

Little more detail

Does it crank over normally and not start or is it laboring to turn over and not starting? If it's the latter then you may need a new battery.

Depends....

If the motor is cranking normal when starting but will not start you need to try the TWO (throttle wide open). Twist the gas all the the way open and hold it there and crank the engine for 10 seconds or more. Then release the thottle so it snaps shut and start normal. You may have to try it a few times. If it ids not cranking then we need to look at other problems...

:agree:Go with T.W.O.:2thumbs: & u report full tank of gas, did you just fill up ? It may have got some trash in line some where or air if you ran way low & the T.W.O. Will help push it thru or at least get some flo going. Fyi there will be some gas smell lingering after it cranks. It will not be there on your next crank unless you T.W.O. again.
You should be ok with just doing it once.

Let us know

Terminology often is a problem.

I don't exactly understand "starts to go on but never actually rolls over".

Does that mean that the starter runs at normal speed but the engine never fires ?

Or does it mean that the starter tries to turn but never really goes ??

Either way some basic tests need to be made and if you don't feel comfortable with doing that yourself, call the shop.

It's flooded. Do a wide open throttle start. Twist the throttle to wide open and hold it there. This turns the fuel injectors off. Press the start button for 10 seconds and let it crank. Stop and let the starter cool for 1 minute. Do it again. Again another 1 minute cool. Then try a normal start.

:agree: You should be smelling some pretty strong gasoline vapors...
Throttle wide-open, and follow the instructions above... good luck!

This just happened to our 2011 Spyder. It turned out to be the battery.
Try boosting the battery when trying to start it. It worked for us. Than we had the battery replaced.
