• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2011 RTS air suspension not working

While riding recently, I noticed that the rear suspension bottomed out when I hit a big bump in the road. The display changes as I try to adjust the air suspension. I checked all the fuses, and they appear good.

I pulled out R1 and it had 13.25 VDC on the power pins. It did not change when the button was pressed to adjust the suspension. R5 was the same. I verified the relays do change states when voltage is supplied.

I put the Spyder on ramps to check the air bag. I did not feel any holes in it. It compressed quite easily when I squeezed it.

Is there anything else that I could check prior to taking it to a dealer to check it out?:banghead:

Ditto what bruiser said. You've gotta be on it and in gear for the compressor to run whether you or the ACS sensor is making the adjustment. You should be able to hear the compressor running.

There is a Schrader valve under the seat you can use to check the pressure and inflate the ACS system. Look on page 48 of your operators guide.

Rear shock failure is not unheard of. Had mine replaced once already. Feels like it's gone again. Some have had theirs replaced multiple times. Seriously considering Elka to be done with problem. Air suspension leaked too. Had it fixed. Leaks again but not bad enough to worry about, yet.
 
My wife was on the seat with it in gear running. I could not hear the compressor or fill any difference in the airbag. I checked the pressure at the Schrader valve. There was under 10 PSI. I started the Spyder and tried to adjusted the pressure without any success.

I manually set it to 28 PSI. I will check it tomorrow afternoon and see what it is at.

The air bag did not lose any air overnight. Went for a ride tonight and tried to adjust the air pressure. The air bag had the same air pressure as it did before the ride. I guess I will need to have the compressor checked.
 
I did a ride and set the suspension all the way to hard, and checked the air pressure. It did not change.

I then did another ride and set the suspension all the way to soft, and the air pressure still did not change. It was at 30 PSI after the ride and adjusting it to the upper and lower limits.

I have the same thing wrong with my 2011 rts. I finally took it to dealer and they ordered me a new compressor. I am supposed to take it in Wednesday for a fix. We have been manually putting air in valve all summer. As long as both people are on bike when you start, it will not lose air.
