2011 Rt manual won’t go into reverse

Last weekend we took our Spyders on a 8 hour round trip we parked our Spyders on Friday and didn’t ride again til Sunday when we went to leave the wife’s 2011 Rt with manual shift which she parked directly in the sun flashed a VSS code and would not shift into reverse. So we pushed it out and it shifted into forward gears fine and then we tried reverse again and it went in but after that it hasn’t allowed her to get it back into reverse. Anyone know what is going on?

Little checking.....

Happened to me once a long time ago. So....down on the bottom of the motor on the shifter side you will see where the reverse cable comes down to the shift arm for revers. In my case it came loose and slipped off the support bracket so I re-installed it and done. The cable will stretch in time and you may need to adjust it so it fully pulls the shift arm....:thumbup:
