2011 RT-622 Wiring Question

Now that I think about it are you sure its not the pin? Those are known to not lock in after being removed.
Nope, pin is fine. When i found the pin pushed in I tries to reset it since it wasnt seated fully. But after I could feel that all I was doing was pushing excess wire into the plug housing I stopped and pulled the wire all the way out to inspect the pin and straighten the wire out. The pin has a collar on it that locks once it gets past the lip inside the rubber middle part. Its just that I can't get anything small and strong enough to push the pin in by the collar to get it fully seated. I've tried using needle nose pliers and pull it through and that hasn't't worked either.

Exactly...you knew what I was referring to. I have a bunch of them.
I do too.....somewhere in the boxes from the move out to TX. I'm hoping that a trailer shop will have one or Napa tomorrow. Hopefully I can get it reset, because I don't really want to shell out another $145 for a new one. And this type of adapter doesn't even make the side markers in to turn signals either, which is what I really want.

well it got deleted on my saved area. But found some old notes that may help you some. (hd16-9-96p Deustch)
Awesome thanks. Thats the number to the plug itself. Now if it doesn't work out tomorrow I'll give the plug a try. Thanks again.

Found my issue, one of the pins (running lights) was pushed in from the previous owner. Gonna try and take it to a trailer shop and see if they can reseat the pin. I tried with a pair of pliers but couldn't get it to work. Here a couple of pics with the problem.

Usually the pins are insert only & have a barb that locks in place. Inspect the pin see if you can spot where the barb was pushed the wrong way(in) or simply broke off. Most of things ive been able to fix by bending barb back in to place rotate 180• so it gets fresh bite on new plastic in same pin location. Good luck & dont for get good ol Radio Shack (aint many, but u can get lucky)

I think you're going to have to get into the guts of the wiring throughout the trailer to do that. The marker lights are undoubtedly spliced into the running light circuit, which is the tail lights. You'll have to splice them into the the turn signal wires. The marker lights do not have their own pin in the connector. Before I'd spend $140 for an adapter cable I'd cut the connector out and splice the wires together directly, as I mentioned above.

Yep I found one. The one thats on the spyder is plastic as well. Have you seen metal ones?

OK Great! I thought mine were metal..Maybe just me :roflblack:

Should just be able noW to pop out the pins and reinsert to the new connector once you get that..

Good LUck!

The collar/bards are good. The real issue with inserting it is that the rubber in the middle of the plug isnt very plyable, its a bit on the stiffer side. And bunches up the wire as you try and force it through.

I might end up going your route in the end. Which is really how I want them to operate.

Yeah, might be ordering one at the end of today and rewiring every thing.

Went by a trailer shop and they were able to repin the plug. Now time to put the hitch on and hook it all up.
