2010 Safety Recall Notice

WOW ! This past Saturday, I read a post here about the 2010 model year Brake Pedal Connecting Rod Replacement. On Monday I got a call from my dealer to tell me that the replacment parts are on order and that they will be arriving Wednesday and Today I got the official recall letter in the mail . I will be picking my spyder up from my dealer on Saturday since he has been storing it for the winter for me. That means no second trip to the dealer for the recall.:yes: Let the riding begin :yes:

Dealer sent me the pins in the mail and I installed them just in time to head off to Spyderfest. I was in no hurry to get them as i had already used zip ties on the old ones?

I got my letter this morning and gave the dealer a call. They've got the parts; While it's there for the other issues, (A-arm pivot bushing & throttle body...), they'll stick the new pins in too! :2thumbs:

:gaah:Today, we got the recall notice in the mail. Called the dealer right away, and they told me the parts are on order. These guys are so good, they already had a list of 2010 RT owners, and were in the middle of calling them to let them know about recall... It sure makes ryding life a lot better when you have a good dealership/owner relationship!!!!:clap:

Got my letter from BRP yesterday while here at Spyderfest. Cowtown did the fix today. Along with tightening the bolts on my hitch, installing brightsides, HMT and Utopia backrest. Got a great deal. Even though I found out a little late that they didn't have the amber ones for the fenders.

Got my recall notice Tuesday. The spyder is already in the shop and they will fix it this week.

Let The Fun Begin !!

Picked my spyder up on Saturday morning the brake pedal connecting rods pins replaced and also when the tech had my spyder out for a test ride the rear shock failed, so the rear shock was replaced . NOW LET THE FUN BEGIN !!:yes:
