• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2010 RTS

:welcome:
1. Throttle bodies: have they been replaced?
2. Throttle position sensor: ditto.
3. Have there been any upgrades to the front suspension?
4. Have the vacuum hoses been replaced?
5. What is the mileage on the bike?
A. What is the belt's condition?
B. How are the tires?
C. Are the valves due for servicing, or has it already been done?
D. How about the plug wires: have they been replaced yet?
E. Is it still running on the original battery?

Good luck, and Happy hunting!

I'd recommend you look at a 2014, but if you really want a 2010 here's a list at a minimum:
Laser Alignment
BajaRon Sway Bar.
BajaRon spark plug wires.
Iridium Spark Plugs.
Upgraded shock absorbers up front (2012 BRP, or Elka)
LCD replacement if CB is installed.
The 2010 was the first year for the RT. Without the suspension upgrades, the bike really wallowed like a pig.
The Spark Plug Wires and plugs were problematic.
There is also a vent kit recall for the 2013 to reduce heat. Some people have been successful at getting BRP to comp the same vents for earlier years.
Good Luck. Keep us posted how you make out.

I would agree with all of the above except for valve checks. I have done two at the recommended 14K intervals and in both cases no adjustment was needed. Cost was about $800 each time. If it seems to be running right, I think you can go to at least 50K. The 2014 and up RT's do not need valve maintenance.

The 2010 RTS is a good machine and I got 36,500 trouble free miles out of mine. Have the dealer run the VIN and you can get a service history.
