• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2010 RTS Owners Trading In?

I thought about it but decided it made sense to keep the 2010 RTS at least until the end of the warranty period, plus I would like to see BRP put some of the wish list items we have discussed on Spyder Lovers - into the ride.. I figure that will be at least 2012 if we are lucky...

We did intent to originally... Then we made the mistake of going to the dealership and seeing the RSS... So we came home with the new RSS...:roflblack:

We do plan late this year to get another RT. It is far to much of a perfect cruiser to not have one in our stable.

I know personally of one local member that changed the 2010 RT shocks to the 2011 and states he feels a 60% overall improvement in his ryde. I think that far outways any "Newness" factor if you have a solid running 2010 RT...

Currently have our name on a list for a 2011 RT Limited, would be trading our 2010 RTS PE. But we'll see what the numbers work out to be.

Not trading up to a 2011 RTS at this time. My 2010 RTS runs great and is almost paid for--so it does not seem like a good idea to change at this time. Lost my shirt when trading the 2008 for the 2010 because I had it heavily accessorized. Spouse kept her 2009 and is not going to trade up for anything newer. Im in the wait & see mode for future Spyders.

After installing the Elka shocks, Corbin seat and having the DPS changed, I'll put my RT-S up against any new 2011 for handling and comfort.

Have lusted after the Viper Red... but, heck, I only have 1000 miles on my '10 and only 200 with the new DPS... me thinks I will keep this one for awhile..

I ain't trading nothing. Mine is not a year old yet, I have it setup like I want it. I to will wait until BRP makes significant changes.:2thumbs:

The comfort was enough to drive me from the RS to the RT - can't see anything but paint and a $700 set of shocks to make up for a 50% hit to the pocketbook.

Heck, they even deleted the free cover for the "S", and $7K + 50 days on the road, with a warm motel at the end of each day!…

The adage is "love what you have - if you don't love it, toss it….."

If ours stays in the shop much longer, mama is going to make me trade for a more reliable manufacturer with a sidecar !!!!!:shemademe_smilie:

No trade here, Have gotten my spyder just the way I like her. Each year BRP will add a few new things. Never know what could respark my interest. Just had my 6th oil change done.

I know what you mean, I got fed up with mine staying in the shop almost as much as it did at home so I cut it loose and got an 09 C90T Suzuki Boulevard and will keep an eye on the RTS for a few years then maybe go back to one if they can make some more changes and not be so costly to maintain.
Good luck with yours.

2010 RT-S Trading Trading In?

Recon and bodymanpainter just posted a note on the Shop Talk Forum about my experience today. Twice in three weeks were I have received a VSS Fault, Check DPS, and Limp Home Mode message. If it happens a third time it will be gone.

2010 RTS'S

If a dealer has an inventory of unsold 2010 models left on the floor, what would should the buyer expect to see in discounted pricing?
Should we expect to see RT/AC SE5'S going for $19000. At that a rider is still looking at the expense of a shock upgrade to make the 2010 handle like a 2011. What do you think?

2010 RT-S Owners Trading In?

A new 2010 RT A/C dealers cost is approximately $20500. If you are getting a quote less than that you better jump the that opportunity.
Make sure it is NEW.

Reese
