• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. 2010 rts differences vs newer models

Hello all

i was just wondering with all the different mods out there for the rt which ones are worth persuing. I'm interested in the opinion of riders that have upgraded to a newer rt that have ridden a 2010. Is there a big difference in ride handling ect. I'm sure there have been a lot of improvements. I'll be keeping mine for a while and was just curious what I'm missing. Thanks for your time

The 2010 RTs had pretty soft front suspension. It was upgraded for 2011 and again for 2012. The 2010s benefit greatly from a transplant to the 2011 or 2012 shocks, or a set of Elkas. The Elkas will raise the ride height. Even before the shock transplant I would install a BajaRon swaybar to reduce the excessive body roll. Best bang for the buck out there in suspension mods!

Have experience with 2010 RTS and 2011 RT A&C. Ride is different from the 2011 to the 2010. I made no modifications to the suspension on either model. Both units are stock in that category.

Shocks, sway bar. Thats is really all the 2010 needs to transform it. I started with changing the shocks on my 2010 to 2011's (bought them at my dealer) these did make a good difference. The big difference came by installing the bajaron sway bar. that is a really good buy with very good results. I was happy with the handling and then I came across a set of Fox shocks at a really good price so I installed them. I have driven a '14 and I prefer the handling of my 2010. The point is, a '10 can handle as well or better as any '11 or '12. ( just my opinion ) :f_spider:

I agree with Stan - with a few suspension mods, the 2010 is a great machine. Adding a good aftermarket exhaust, deleting the CAT, adding Seals, and a decent seat (Corbin for me), and mine was in perfect form. I didn't need the swaybar - but if someone comes up with some decent protection for the belt, snap it up - what's out there now helps, but it's not enough by far.....

Stock to stock, the 2012s were the best "vintage", but farkled up, the 2010s are at least equal...
