• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2010 RT-SM5 Rear Suspension Continually Running

MarkLawson

RT-S PE#0031
When in gear, the rear suspension pump runs continuously. It pumps up, air releases through the valve and then pumps up again. Runs through this cycle every 10 seconds or so. I know the pump will soon fail.

Any thoughts?

Start looking for a air leak.

FIXED!

As I was leaving a Spyder dealership where I asked for it to be checked ("Sorry, but we don't do diagnostics on Saturdays, but you can leave it with us and we'll look at it in a week."), my mechanic, Josh, walked out and warmly greeted me. He said he thought he recognized my RT. I told him of my problem and he looked under the left side & 5 seconds later stood up and said "It's fixed!", and it is.

Turns out that a few days ago I replaced the rear disc pads, rotor and wheel bearings. I had disconnected the ACS rod to the sensor before removing the lower shock bolt. When I reconnected it, I flexed the joint it attaches to the wrong direction. From that point on, when the rear suspension moved up or down, the sensor read it opposite of what it should. I was driving it nuts! (My wife could testify to my ability in that regard...)
