• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2010 RSS Cruise Control Help

Just bought a 2010 Spyder RSS SE5 3000 miles on it. It's just like new, it has the handel bar risers 4.5 inches, the ones you have to cut the origional bars and fit these on. It also has Kuryakyn grips. I am looking for a friction type (mechanical) curise control that will work with the Kuryakyn grips. Any help would be appreciated.

Cruise

Take a look at Throttlemeister. They make a friction cruise control. I have them on my bike and also a cramp buster for normal driving. Just take the end caps off the grips and install per instructions. I noticed less vibration on mine. I went with the heavy ones for this reason.

Cruise Control Installed

Just an update, I installed a Cruise Mate cruise control yesterday. They are 59.95 including the tap & die you will need to enlarge the hole in your throttle housing. I am somewhat mechanically inclined or at least I can follow instructions. The install took about an hour and the cruise works very well. I would recommend it if you need or want a cruise control. The guy that sells them is very nice and will help you over the phone should you need it. It's nice to see a quality product that works and is made in the US.
