• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Hello everyone! It's been awhile since I've been on here.... I had a question about braking with my RS. When I apply the foot brake when braking I really have to press on it for the bike to stop. Is this normal? The brake pedal is not sponge I really have to press hard for it to stop. The bike has 6000 miles on it. Any thoughts would be appreciated.... Thanks Andy

Have you tried pumping the brake a couple of times? If yes, does the brake get firmer?

you do have to put a lot of pressure on the pedal earley spyders don't have nearly as powerful feeling brakes as most other street bikes

Thank you for all the reply's I just wanted to make sure that nothing was wrong. I just installed a brake pedal extender which help a lot. Now I don't have to press down as far. Thanks again...

Little checking..

A quick cleaning of the discs would help and if your still feeling its not right a light sanding on the pads would make sure you don't have anything on there causing you to have to brake so hard. I have an RS 2012 and the brakes feel normal but it was nine years off bikes wihen I got her....
