• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2009 Biketoberfest report

I left for Daytona Tuesday morning at 5:30 am and got to Daytona at 3:20 pm. That was a little over 600 miles and was a pretty easy run after some of the runs I have been on this year.

The weather was great coming out, no rain and just cold enough to wear my gear. The Spyder ran great on the way out and and there were no issues. I guess I got a good one seeing after 42,000 miles I can't say my Spyder has given me any real problems and I hope it has a few more good miles left in her. I really enjoy riding this thing.

When I got there the first thing I did was stop by the No Magic trailer to see how it was going. They just got setup and wasn't really doing much. The rally doesn't officially start till Thursday.

Wednesday I hung out with the crew for a while and then headed to the race track to see what was going on. It was pretty much a ghost town. I headed back to NM and things had started to pick up a bit. There was one gal there with a Monster Spyder that was pretty cool and Jody's Spyder really looks killer too.

Just before quitting time the rain came.

Same thing happened today so I guess that's just how it is. We got some pretty major thunder and lighting tonight. All in all the numbers are really down. Honda and HD didn't even show at the track and so far I think this is the lightest group I've ever seen in Daytona. I long for the good old days. nojoke I will say the Spyder tent was doing pretty good today.

Thanks for the report. I was hoping we would be able to make it there for this, but things just didn't work out. Hopefully the weather will be clearing for you very soon.

Please keep the pictures coming so we can live vicariously through you. :D

Spent most of the day at the BRP tent today and met a bunch of new SpyderLovers. I would say the crowd picked up a bit but was still way down from years past. Tomorrow we'll meet at Corbins and I'll take a few more pics. :doorag:

Very cool! Besides the weather, I think things are light now with events like this because people just don't have the cash anymore. My folks live down there and my mother's antique business is pretty much at nothing now when she used to make pretty good money. Most tourists and she said there aren't very many right now.

I will say that out of all those pics w/ all those wild paint jobs, your Spyder stands out the most - nice paint - not overkill, very cool.
